Stichting Run Good Do Good (“RGDG”, “we”, or “us”) is committed to processing personal data lawfully, fairly, and transparently, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch GDPR Implementation Act (UAVG).

This notice (the “Privacy Policy”) sets out the terms on which RGDG processes your personal data.

2. Children’s Privacy

  • Consent: We do not knowingly collect or process personal data of individuals under the age of 16 without prior explicit consent from a parent or legal guardian.
  • Parental Rights: Parents or guardians can review data, request deletion, or refuse further collection by contacting [email protected].

3. Types of Data We Collect

You are not required to provide any personal data on the public areas of the Platform. However, you may choose to do so by completing the contact forms on various sections of the Platform, e.g. when you decide to donate, volunteer or participate as an NGO in our activities. We may also collect certain data about you indirectly, e.g. through our use of cookies on the Platform (see below).

We will only use the personal data you provide on the relevant sections of the Platform in order to process it for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes. Providing certain personal data is necessary in order to provide access to the Platform and its functionalities. Where the provision of data is mandatory, failure to provide such data may result in the inability to create an account, access the Platform, or use certain services or features.

The table below indicates per purpose the categories of personal data we collect and process about you, the source from which we obtain such personal data, on what legal basis we rely to justify the processing and how long we retain your personal data.

We will only disclose your personal data to our service providers operating the Platform [located in [country]], on our behalf and upon our instructions. We will not disclose your personal data to any other third party, except where you have given your consent or where RGDG is required to do so by law or where it is necessary for the purpose of, or in connection with legal proceedings or in order to exercise or defend RGDG’s legal rights.

We will only process your personal data for the period indicated above, unless we are subject to a legal requirement to retain such personal data for a longer period. After this retention period, which is generally seven (7) years, we will either delete or delete your data. 

4. Cookies

Some of your personal data may be collected using cookies and similar tracking technology, as further explained in our Cookie Policy.  

5. International Data Transfers

In general, we will process your personal data in Europe. In some instances, we may also use third party software that stores data in another jurisdiction, e.g.We use global service providers (e.g., Google, Mailchimp, Mollie). In any case, this will always be carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Where required, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in respect of any transfer of personal data outside of a particular jurisdiction.  Transfers outside the EEA are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other GDPR-approved safeguards.

We may transfer personal data to recipients and other third parties in order to fulfil the purposes listed in section 3, to the extent that they require such data in order to perform their tasks entrusted by us, if this is required under a legal provision or if we rely on a different legal basis. The following can be recognised as the recipients or other third parties:

  1. entities processing personal data at the request of RGDG, such as providers of information tools and hosting service;
  2. entities such as:
    a) cooperating with RGDG, providing professional services, such as i.e. tax, IT advisory services to;
    b) courier or postal service providers;
    Such entities are usually independent data controllers, which means that RGDG has no influence on the manner or extent of their processing of your personal data. RGDG is not responsible for the compliance of such entities’ operation with laws;

    e) any national public administration authorities, authorities of other EU Member States (e.g. authorities appointed to protect personal data in other Member States) or courts, if required by applicable national or Union law or at their request.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, erase, or restrict the processing of your data. You may also object to processing or request data portability. Where we process personal data for direct marketing purpose, you have the right to object at any time to processing of your personal data for such marketing, which includes profiling to the extent that is related to such direct marketing.

8. Change to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of the date above. The Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time, so please check it regularly. Any material changes to this Privacy Policy will be clearly indicated on the Site’s home page.
